Fair is not the same as equal
Unloading the dishwasher and cleaning the whole bathroom are not the same thing. collabDoo knows the effort of every task, who is around and who can do what – and distributes so it feels fair to everyone.
Assignment
Six ways to distribute a task
Fixed person
Always the same person – because only they have a driving licence, say.
Group
“Kids”, “adults”, “upstairs residents”, “everyone except Max” – freely definable, one person can be in several groups.
Rotation
The task rotates automatically between the members of a group. Who had it last is visible in the history.
Free pick-up
Those eligible see the task under “up for grabs”; whoever taps first has it. Optionally with a bonus for volunteers.
Fair distribution
collabDoo assigns to the person with the lowest effort total over the last 28 days – among those eligible and present.
Buddy task
Some things take two: the basement gets tidied as a pair. One completion counts for both, points go to each person.
Eligibility
Only those who can, get it
Tasks can be limited to groups, roles or a minimum age. The four-year-old gets the table, not the oven. Eligibility applies equally to rotation, free pick-up and fair distribution.

Absence & stand-ins
Holiday? Sick? No gap in the plan
Members can mark themselves absent. collabDoo detects affected tasks and offers them for pick-up or redistributes them within the group. Anyone who cannot manage a task hands it to a specific person or puts it out to the group.

Team overview
Transparency instead of a leaderboard
The overview shows open and overdue tasks per person, the effort distribution and bottlenecks – an unassigned task on Saturday, say. No aggressive leaderboard by default. Statistics are meant to improve distribution, not to judge people.
